Q: What is something you'd advise someone who is seeking internal growth?

LUXY: Take note of things that inspire you or the little things that make you smile and address them everyday and make a conscious effort in doing so. So many times we focus on the negative because it’s that much easier to notice, but just working your eyes to notice the good things in life will change your perspective and make you appreciate life. You’ll want to live it to the fullest and that’s when you start to glow and find purpose. Once you do just be sure to work for that purpose and don’t let anything hold you back.

“Sometimes I get terrified that everything can fall apart at any moment but it’s just a matter of remembering that my dreams are worth the risk…”

Q: As humans, we are made-up of a multitude of selfs (the career-oriented self, the doubting self, the inspiring self, the 'eat more healthy' self, etc). What self are you currently exploring and what's that process like?

I would actually say all of the above. I’m currently working and studying and doing creative stuff in whatever spare time I have. I’m so happy to be alive at this stage in my life and I really want to live it to the fullest and that also means self care. It’s been a process to get here and sometimes I feel on top of the world and sometimes I get terrified that everything can fall apart at any moment but it’s just a matter of remembering that my dreams are worth the risk and that my work will pay off.

“I think being a woman can mean so many different things to so many different people. Being a woman is so complex and women should be seen as complex human creatures! In my own life, being a woman means remembering that being emotional and sensitive can still mean i am strong. It also means reminding myself that I’m allowed to take up space and that my existence doesn’t need to please anyone else but myself. There are so many incredible women in my own life and women I look up to— I love women!!!!”
